The Cheney Farmers Market was started in the summer of 2023 with the goal of helping local farmers and small businesses thrive, as well as ensuring that the greater Cheney community has access to locally grown fresh produce.
Nothing brings a community together like an event. We are always working to make the market a fun place for people to connect with each other, from live music to our Fall Fest in October. We also find it's important for the market to be a place where people can find important resources in the community which is why it is always free for other non-profits to have a booth at the market.
A huge way an individual can lower their carbon footprint is by supporting small, local agriculture. Small-scale agriculture contributes significantly less to greenhouse gas emissions, habitat loss, and water pollution. Many of our vendors are also dedicated to selling environmentally-friendly alternatives and second-hand goods. Farmers

Last but certainly not least, we ensure that all of our produce vendors are local to Eastern Washington. When your food comes fresh from a local farm, it's healthier and tastier. We have a variety of different produce throughout the season, as well as consistently having eggs, beef, and honey.
